Battlecraft — playtest build
build 20260820-001236-7f465e1 · server battlecraft.goodenough.games:7770 · Windows 64-bit
Download the game- Unzip it somewhere real — your Desktop is fine. Don't run it from inside the zip; the game can't save from a temp folder.
- Double-click
PLAY BATTLECRAFT.bat. - Windows will say “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info → Run anyway. The build isn't code-signed and there's nothing you can install that would change that.
- If Windows Firewall asks, allow it.
- In game: press F1 for the controls, and say yes when it asks about diagnostics — that's how we find out what went wrong for you.
Don't run Game\Battlecraft.exe on its own. It starts your own private
server and you'll be alone in an empty world without being told. The
.bat is the only thing that joins the shared one.
The most useful key is F3. Press it the instant anything feels wrong — a stutter, being yanked backwards, a trap that seemed unfair. You don't have to explain; it marks the moment and sends the last few minutes of your log. Press it often. F4 is the same thing with a text box.
